There are almost 1 million buildings in the U.S. alone that are considered government facilities. These government buildings range from minimum to high level security and have many different functions, from the DMV and post office to the white house. Many government buildings are places that hold assets of national and historical importance such as the National Archives in Washington. Others house sensitive information to its citizens, like the Internal Revenue Service.
